The arena for the finals during WOC 2019 in Østfold will be at Mørk gård (Mørk farm)/golf course. WOC 2019 is held 12th to 17th of August 2019.

There are six spectator races during WOC 2019 12thto 17thof August. The race with most historical significance will be the one in Fredrikstad on Thursday Aug 15th, where you chase controls in and around Kongsten Fortress. 

The advantage with an orienteering race compared with any other race is that every competitor has a chance to win, a newspaper newspaper in 1927.

Orienteering Columnist, Hans Werp, wrote this on his Facebook page 15th September 2018:

On this day (15th September) 40 years ago, the individual WOC was organised by NOF (Norwegian Orienteering Fedration) and Eiker OL. From the arena at Bermingrud the runners could enjoy some of the best terrain Norway and Eiker had to offer.

No less than 88 WOC medals have been won by runners representing one of the clubs from Østfold. We will present all of them in the build-up to WOC 2019. Number 24 is Vincent Coupat.

From 2006 and onwards the white moose Albin became a Norwegian and international celebrity while he peacefully strolled around in the WOC forest in the Mørk-area. It all came to an end a beautiful autumn day in 2011 when he met a Danish hunter.

Who will represent their countries at WOC was decided as around 15 nations gathered for two test races at Rokke in Østfold last weekend.

Fabulous coast areas, historical fortresses, all kinds of activities and numerous cultural events! During WOC 2019 you get to experience anything you like.
