3690 entries from 27 nations were the status foe the specator races before the early bird deadline on monday.
- That means we’ve reached 25% of the budgeted incomes for spectator race entries already, says a very satisfied coordinator for the spectator races Finn Henry Lillestrand.
The Friday race, in connection with the WOC middle distance race, is the race with most entries so far. There are close to 800 entered spectator runners, The Norwegian NOF Junior series included. The final day of competitions (Saturday) has gathered well above 700 entries as well, before the WOC relays in the afternoon.
The other four competitions have as of today gathered around 450-600 entries for each race.
– On the final day of early bird entries, we received just above 720 entries alone. 250 of those were Norwegians, Lillestrand informs.
– This is more than I’ve expected, WOC director Per Bergerud says.
– And if we look at the number of foreign entries, there should definitively be some potential to grow within domestic orienteers. We reckon even more Norwegians will come to both run and follow the WOC competitions, Bergerud continues.
The next and regular entry deadline is 29thof July.
However, the organisers prefer that you enter as soon as you’ve come to the right decision, to be part of the WOC festivities from Aug 12thto 17th2019.
